BlackPeopleMeet (Commonly referred to as “BPM�?) was founded in 2000 specifically to cater to the African American community. However, any race is able to join.

Online customer reviews range from glowing to scathing, mostly relating to the quality of matches. This is not surprising, however, given the popularity and relative low cost of the site. This means that there will be a far greater amount of high-quality and low-quality matches.

Although registration for the site is free, which allows browsing and basic searching, all other site functions can only be accessed by paid members. With this limitation, BPM can be considered a pay site.
